Submission Deadline
The deadline for abstract submission is March 8, 2026.
It is not necessary to be registered at the time of abstract submission; however, if your abstract is accepted, you must complete your registration by April 5, 2026 (Early Registration) in order for your oral presentation or poster to be confirmed and included in the scientific program.
Abstract Submission Limits
- You may submit more than one abstract as first author by completing one submission form per contribution.
- The presenting author must be indicated when filling out the submission form.
- For an accepted abstract to be included in the scientific program, the presenting author must be registered for the Congress.
- There is no limit to the number of abstracts in which a co-author may be included.
Acceptance Notifications
All authors of submitted abstracts will receive notification by March 25, 2026.
Abstract Submission Process
All abstracts must be submitted using the button and form at the bottom of this page.
The text of the abstracts, posters, and presentations supporting the oral contributions must be in English, while the oral presentation at the Congress may be in Italian.
Elements required for the submission of abstracts
- Title of the abstract: Do not use capital letters for the title.
- Names of the authors: Enter first names and surnames. If an author has multiple names, separate them with a space. Indicate the author who will present at the conference by underlining their first name and surname.
- Affiliation: of each individual author in the following format:e.g. Department of Veterinary Medicine, University of Milan, Lodi (LO).
Text: Enter the text as a single continuous paragraph.
- The maximum limit is 300 words(excluding title, authors and affiliations);
- DO NOT indicate individual sections (e.g. purpose, materials and methods, results, etc.), but present the purpose of the work, the experimental design, the results obtained, and the conclusions in an organic manner.
- Uploading the abstract file: Upload only in .pdf format through the appropriate field.
- The abstract must NOT include: bibliography, photos, tables, and graphs.
- If the format of the abstract does not comply with the required style, it will not be published in the conference proceedings.
Preferred type of presentation: You can choose between:
- Poster– More direct interaction with the audience.
- Oral presentation– 10 minutes of presentation, 2 minutes for questions, 1 minute for transition.

Guidelines for speakers
POSTER
Posters must be sized 70 cm (width) x 100 cm (height). It is recommended to use a font size of at least 24 to ensure readability from a distance of about 1-2 metres.
Each poster must include a photo of the first author in the top left corner, the congress logo, and the poster number assigned by the Scientific Committee, received via email, in the top right corner.
Posters must be hung on the assigned panels using the adhesive tape that will be provided by the congress organisers. It is useful to include a QR CODE that links to a .pdf file containing your poster, so that interested colleagues can download it.
ORAL PRESENTATIONS
To prepare oral presentations, use the format16:9. Presentations must be submitted exclusively in PowerPoint format by the session prior to the one in which the presentation will take place at the designated desk.Authors presenting in the first session on Thursday 23 April are strongly encouraged to email their presentation to aipvetcongress@gmail.com.
When creating your presentation slides, keep in mind that each oral presentationit should last 10 minutes, with an additional 2 minutes for questions and answers. Given the high number of oral contributions, strict adherence to the allocated time will be required.
You will find the date and time of your presentation in the Scientific Programme, which will be made available online.
Awards for posters and oral presentations
Awards will be given for best poster and best oral presentation.Details will be provided shortly.
